StatsBrain Tutorial
This guide explains how StatsBrain works, what you can do for free, and what a Pro Monthly subscription unlocks. StatsBrain is a football analytics research platform-we publish probabilistic simulations and statistical narratives, not gambling advice.

How StatsBrain works
StatsBrain is not a single prediction formula. It is a layered pipeline that turns raw football events into calibrated probability distributions you can inspect on the site. Data arrives from structured providers-primarily Sportmonks-covering fixtures, results, and rich match statistics across global competitions. Completed matches are stored in a historical archive; upcoming fixtures flow through a daily simulation job tuned per league.
Each upcoming match is mapped into comparable features: strength-adjusted form, expected-goals proxies, home and away scoring baselines, head-to-head history, possession and shot context, and fixture-rhythm signals where samples support them. The Monte Carlo core draws thousands of synthetic games from Poisson-type scoring intensities with Dixon–Coles correlation fixes, producing win/draw/loss and scoreline frequencies-not a single deterministic guess.
A neural calibration layer summarises those distributions into the confidence percentages you see on list views, mathematical opportunity tags on match pages, and AI-assisted prose checked against the numbers before publication. League and team entity pages roll the same signals into durable research hubs indexed for search; individual match URLs stay useful for deep dives but are excluded from search indexes to protect crawl budget.
Platform features
Daily match board
Browse fixtures by date and league with AI confidence on every upcoming row.
Pro Insights
Daily shortlist where AI confidence ≥70%-strongest mathematical signals.
League hubs
Standings, season scoring rates, home/away splits, and fixture calendars.
Team profiles
Club form, head-to-head baselines, and upcoming projections in primary leagues.
Intent hubs such as AI projections today, high-confidence simulations, and league scoring analysis give you filtered entry points into the same underlying dataset-useful when you know the question before you know the fixture.
Recommended workflow
- 1
Start on the match board
Open Matches to browse today's schedule by league. Each row shows kickoff time, competition, and AI top confidence-the headline strength of the leading outcome class from our Monte Carlo sample.
Open match board - 2
Scan Pro Insights
Pro Insights narrows the board to fixtures where confidence is ≥70%-the daily mathematical opportunity scan. Use it when you want the clearest statistical separation, not every game on the calendar.
View Pro Insights - 3
Anchor with league context
Before trusting a single fixture, open its league hub. You will see goals-per-match baselines, home/away splits, standings, and how the current season compares to historical variance-calibration context the model uses internally.
Browse leagues - 4
Drill into teams and matches
Team pages combine squad snapshots, recent form, and fixture lists. Match analysis pages expose scenario tables, xG-style proxies, mathematical opportunity labels, and AI-assisted commentary reviewed against the numbers.

What you receive after a monthly payment
When you subscribe to Pro Monthly, access activates on your StatsBrain account immediately after checkout. There are no contracts-you can cancel anytime and retain Pro features until the end of the current billing period. Your profile page shows subscription status so you always know whether premium pipelines are active.
In practical terms, Pro unlocks the deepest layer of our analytics stack. You get full premium match analytics-extended scenario tables, goals and corners simulation outputs, and high-precision mathematical models that free users only see in summary form. The historical archive opens for multi-season drill-downs on clubs and competitions, while the priority data pipeline refreshes projections faster as line-ups and schedules change.
Pro members also receive early access when we ship new simulation modules-form and momentum trend engines, refined calibration layers, or additional secondary-market scenario bands. Everything remains framed as statistical research: probabilities, not guarantees. Combine Pro outputs with league context and our editorial standards when publishing or citing StatsBrain in your own work.
Common questions
- Do I need Pro to use StatsBrain?
- No. The match board, league hubs, team pages, Pro Insights list, and methodology docs are available without payment. Pro adds premium simulation depth, historical archives, and faster refresh.
- How often are projections updated?
- Free users receive standard refresh cadence. Pro subscribers get priority pipeline updates as upstream fixtures and results sync-typically multiple times per day on busy schedules.
- Is this gambling advice?
- No. StatsBrain is strictly for education and research. We do not accept wagers or promote bookmakers. Models express probability, not certainty.
